Operations at LMS

LMS has four main operational sections, namely Weather Office, Applications, Climatology and Information & Public Affairs.

Applications
The section works with stakeholders from various government and private institutions in issues related to agriculture, water resource management, disaster management and environment.

Climatology
The role of the division is to observe and understand Lesotho's weather and climate and provide meteorological services in support of Lesotho's needs and international obligations.

Information & Public Affairs
The division communicates more effectively meteorological forecasts and other products for the purpose of enhancing relevancy of meteorology to social and economic activities.
