Ozone regulations provide the legal basis for the protection of the ozone layer within the country. The objectives of the ozone regulations is to fulfill the obligation of the Montreal Protocol on substance that deplete ozone Layer and to ensure a higher level of ambition required by Protocol. These regulations may be cited as “Ozone Depleting Substances Regulations - 2012”. These regulations include HCFCs only because CFCs have already been phased out.
